Mario Mădălin Dumitru

Chef Mario is a chef with an impressive story. He started cooking at 16, and since then, he has worked in restaurants across Italy, Germany, France, and England. He studied at the renowned ALMA culinary school in Italy and had the honor of cooking alongside famous chefs, including Marco Pierre White – Gordon Ramsay’s mentor.

In Chefi la cuțite, Season 13, Mario won over the audience and judges with a unique dish: duck breast with cold-smoked orange sauce. He received four knives and the Golden Knife from Chef Alexandru Sautner. It was a turning point in his career.

After the show, he decided to return to Romania to contribute to the development of the local culinary scene. He collaborated with restaurants in Reghin, Sinaia, and the Danube Delta, bringing refined flavors to the table, inspired by his international experiences.

Chef Mario is the founder of The Golden Knife Bistro, a passion project where Romanian tradition meets modern techniques. Here, every dish tells a story, and every detail is carefully considered.
